Heisei Rest Area is a facility that acts as a small village of the recent past. "Heisei" was the name given to the recently concluded era, under Emperor Akihito. There's a gallery of all kinds of Heisei memorabilia, a corner dedicated to local sightseeing and goods, a shop selling food and drinks, and also a public footbath.
